Dreamy Views & Pure Peace: My Stay at Las Quintas Reserve, Culebra, Puerto Rico
I honestly don’t even know where to start because everything about my stay at Las Quintas Reserve in Culebra, Puerto Rico felt like the softest exhale. You know those places that just wrap you up in calm the moment you arrive? That’s exactly what this was, peaceful, beautiful, effortless.
Check-in was super easy (love that), and right away, we were welcomed with such warmth. The hostess was incredible, friendly, attentive, and just the kind of energy you want to be greeted with after a trip. She made us feel like family from the first moment.
We stayed in villa number 2, one of the villas on the property, and let me tell you, that ocean view was a whole dream. From the moment I opened the door, my eyes went straight to the horizon. You can literally sit on your porch or by the pool and watch the boats passing in the distance, the breeze moving through the trees, and the water sparkling like a postcard. I could’ve stayed in that moment forever.
One of my favorite parts? Sitting by the pool, wrapped in my cozy cover-up and actually getting some work done while I was there, and not just a little. I sat by the pool with my laptop, ocean in view, breeze in my hair, and got through everything on my to-do list without distractions. The quiet and tranquility of the space made it so easy to focus. It was the kind of productivity I didn’t even know I was capable of on a trip!
In the mornings, we woke up to birdsong and soft light coming through the windows. Breakfast was served right on the property. Fresh, simple, and so satisfying. Coffee in hand, ocean in view, nowhere to rush off to… it was exactly what I needed.
The pool that overlooks the ocean (yes, you read that right). I spent an embarrassing amount of time just floating and staring at the sky, not talking, not scrolling, just being. It was honestly the most relaxed I’ve felt in a long time.
And then... the sunsets. Wow. I’ve seen my share of golden hours, but the sunsets here felt like something out of a fantasy. Colors I didn’t even know existed, slowly fading into the sea. You’ll want to be outside every night just to catch the show.
Dinner? We stayed right on property because they offer tapas, and let me tell you: you do not want to miss this. We had the garlic shrimp and the raviolis, and both were so flavorful and fresh. It felt intimate, delicious, and just the right way to end the evening.
Our villa was spotless, the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the bathroom even had two shower heads, a detail I didn’t think I’d care about but absolutely loved. Everything was clean, cozy, and designed for true rest.
And then there’s the land itself, full of trees, flowers, and even a mango tree that drops fruit low enough for you to pick. You’re surrounded by nature in the best way possible, close to the beaches, but tucked just far enough up the mountain to feel like you’ve escaped the world.
If you’re looking for peace, views, comfort, and a deep exhale from the busyness of life, Las Quintas Reserve is the place. I left feeling grounded, recharged, and so grateful for every second spent there.
